44-year old David Roberts of the Los Angeles Dodgers has won the 2016 National League Manager of the Year Award. Prior to this year, Roberts was 0-1 as a Major League manager (with the San Diego Padres in 2015). He led the Dodgers to a 91-71 record (.562) during the regular season as the won the N.L. West in 2016. He was also 5-6 (45.5%) in the playoffs for the Dodgers last year. Roberts is already #23 in wins (91) in Dodgers’ history during the regular season. Roberts is also already tied for #79 in Major League history with his 5 playoff wins. Roberts is the perfect manager for the Dodgers, as he puts his players in the best possible positions to succeed.
